Plans Examiner
Plans ExaminerSouth Central Planning & Development Commission is accepting resumes for multiple Plans Examiner positions to work remotely or to be located at our Houma or Baton Rouge offices if preferred.
The main duty of the Plans Examiner is to review plans and verify compliance with the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code.
The candidate must possess good communication and computer skills, as well as be able to work independently.
The individual should possess a high school diploma and some Plan Review certifications as a minimum.
The ideal candidate would meet Louisiana State certification requirements for both Residential and Commercial Plan Reviews.
The Plans Examiner position is a full-time salaried position with permanent status and fringe benefits.
Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave.
Starting pay will be approximately $60,000 - $120,000 annually depending on qualification level and experience.
SCPDC is an EOE/ AAE.
